MAILING ADDRESS FOR THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION IS:

TCP ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, 7 Patrick St., Bothwell, Tasmania 7030..Australia.

LATEST NEWS....MORE "LATEST NEWS" FURTHER DOWN, INCLUDING SPORTS NEWS.

Dr. Somerville has been selected as first interim (exofficio) president of the TCP Alumni Association.  He was selected to serve until elections are held by members of the Association.  Dr. Somerville will help members of the Association:  1.  Write a constitution and mission statement.

                    2.  Set up a slate for election of officers.

                    3.  Conduct an election.

                    4.  Contact as many members as possible.

                    5.  Publish this web site for all members

"Dr. S." feels that having an Alumni Association fulfills the need to have each senior class president take on the task of looking after the members of each year class.  The Association will welcome the various class years to participate in holding class reunions , etc. repective of their graduating year, but also to hold reunions and/or gatherings respective of all graduates, teachers and friends.  The Alumni Association should be an "extention" of the TCP Community.

Members serving in the military, especially, are welcome to sign up.

MEMBERS--SIGN UP

The following graduates have already signed up as members of the TCP Alumni Association.  It is hoped that all graduates, teachers, friends will sign up and actively participate in the activities of the Association.

As members are contacted, names will be added to the list. [names on the list will eventually be alphabetized, categorized as to "graduate, teacher, friend, year of graduation"]

Dr. Somerville finally retires after eight years of teaching and seven years at TCP.  Students, parents, faculty and community friends gave Dr. Somerville a surprise "roast" retirement party at the Prescott Resort Ballroom in May, 2007.  There were over ninety people present at the event.

Ms. Michaelson is off to Ecuador!  The former TCP English teacher will be teaching English at a village school as well as learning to communicate in Spanish.  Ms. Michaelson will be located in this South American country for nearly two years.  She plans to return to the U.S. and pursue a higher degree in writing and literature.  Perhaps she will return, one day, to TCP as a professor for the Graceland University branch at the school.

The new school gymnasium is finally finished (sort of).  The building is the largest facility on campus and can easily accomodate several thousand people seated on its floor space.  The gym lacks a
